Navalny announced the All -Russian protest against raising the retirement age on June 19. “Let's honestly say: raising the retirement age started by Putin and Medvedev is a real crime,” the politician emphasized. “The usual robbery of several tens of millions of people under the guise of“ urgent reform ”.
The government plans to increase the retirement age in several stages starting on January 1, 2019. By 2028, the retirement age for men will be increased to 65 years, by 2034, the retirement age for women will be increased to 63 years.
The age of the appointment of social pensions for citizens who have not developed official seniority for women will be increased from 60 to 68 years, for men - from 65 to 70 years.
The age of retirement of teachers, doctors and creative workers will be increased by eight years. For citizens working in the Far North and in areas equated with the Far North areas, the retirement age will be established equal to 60 years for men and 58 years for women. This measure will not affect people working in difficult conditions, in particular miners and railway workers.
Reform will not affect citizens receiving insurance pensions. These are in particular women, raising a disabled child under the age of 8 years old, a mother of five or more children, disabled people of group I in vision. According to authorities, raising the retirement age will increase the amount of payments to current pensioners by almost 1000 rubles per year.
