Gennady Timchenko sold the plane due to sanctions
Businessman Gennady Timchenko has sold his private jet Gulfstream G650, Reuters reports, citing aircraft registry documents. According to the agency, this is due to the impossibility of using the jet after sanctions were imposed on Timchenko.
The new owner of the business jet, the agency points out, since June 2018 has been the Cypriot subsidiary of the Russian Direct Investment Fund .
The RDIF did not respond to Reuters' questions about the purchase of the plane. A spokesman for Timchenko said the businessman and his structures "have had no connection with the said plane for several years now."
