Dutchman Max Verstappen of Red Bull won the ninth round of the Formula 1 world championship - the Austrian Grand Prix, which took place over the weekend at his team's home track in Spielberg.
Verstappen took his first victory of the season and the fourth of his career. Finn Kimi Raikkonen from Ferrari finished second (+1.504), and third was his teammate German Sebastian Vettel (+3.181), who again led the individual standings.
Russian Williams driver Sergei Sirotkin was two laps behind the leader and finished 14th, while his companion, Canadian Lance Stroll, climbed one step higher.
Mercedes' Finn Valtteri Bottas, who started from pole position, and his British teammate Lewis Hamilton retired during the race.
The tenth stage of the championship will take place on July 6-8 at the track in the British Silverstone.
