The coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in St. Petersburg was fined 300 thousand rubles for the action on May 5

On July 2, the Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined Denis Mikhailov, the coordinator of the local headquarters of Alexei Navalny, 300 thousand rubles. This is written on the Navalny Team | St. Petersburg page on VKontakte.

Mikhailov was found guilty under part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of the procedure for holding a public event) due to the organization of the action “He is not our king.”

Earlier, the activist was already arrested for 25 days under a similar article because of the same action. On June 29, when Mikhailov left the special detention center where he was serving his sentence, he was handed another administrative protocol. After that, the headquarters coordinator was taken to the Oktyabrsky Court, which subsequently returned the case back to the police due to errors in the protocol.

• In 2018, Mikhailov served 80 days of arrest due to protests. At the end of January, he was arrested for 30 days because of the “Voter Strike”. In March, when the headquarters coordinator left the special detention center where he was serving his sentence, he was detained and taken to court, which arrested him for 25 days.
