In Irkutsk, civilian activists conduct a flash mob against pension reform in Russia. Participants take photos with hashtags #55x60 and #people. This was reported to the Siberia.m. Reali correspondent by one of the organizers of the action Andrei Kalinkin. Citizens post pictures on social networks and write text in support of protest. Thus, they want to influence regional deputies and force them to write a negative review of the bill, which provides for raising the retirement age.
“The regional Legislative Assembly was self -confused. We want them to collect an extraordinary session and prepare their answer to the State Duma. Local deputies must oppose and not support this bill on our behalf. So far, there is an opportunity to stop this decision, we will continue our shares,” Kalinkin said.
More than 50 residents of Irkutsk have already joined the flash mob. In addition, the initiative group intends to hold protests. The next rally should be held on July 18, on the day when the State Duma will consider the bill in the first reading. Volunteers, along with the Communist Party of the Communist Party, continue to collect signatures in the region under appeal to the government demanding not to revise the retirement age.
Earlier, the governor of the Irkutsk region, Sergei Levchenko, publicly opposed the increase in retirement age. The Irkutsk governor does not share the initiative of the Russian government. An increase in pensions could be achieved by increasing labor productivity, the official said. He intends to send to the State Duma a negative review of the bill.
In Russia , protest shares on the bill that raises the retirement age from 60 to 65 years for men and from 55 to 63 for women continues .
