Nine Teatra.doc employees were detained in Moscow, Mediazona reports, citing actress Maria Chuprinskaya. According to her, this happened at Chistye Prudy, where theater employees were walking after the performance.
Chuprinskaya said that in addition to the police officer, “five strongmen” in civilian clothes took part in the arrest. They called some of them by name and showed them photographs from the distribution of leaflets in support of Oleg Sentsov .
Actress Tatyana Demidova was hit in the stomach by these people, Chuprynskaya said. Demidova was not detained. According to director Zarema Zaudinova, two men stayed with Demidova on the street; Zaudinova failed to find her.
“We started asking on what basis [they were arresting us], they started laughing and saying that these big guys are five witnesses who will testify against our crimes—alcohol or drugs,” she said.
Director Kudryashov, who was filming what was happening on his phone, had his device taken away and the recording erased, then nine theater employees and their acquaintance were brought to the Basmannoe police station.
