Cinematographer Robbie Müller, who worked with Wim Wenders and Jim Jarmusch, has died

Dutch cinematographer Robbie Muller has died at the age of 78.

Muller has directed many Wim Wenders films, including the English-language film Paris, Texas, several Jim Jarmusch films (including Dead Man) and Lars von Trier's Breaking the Waves and Dancer in the Dark.

“I loved him very much. He taught me so much that without him I would hardly know anything about filmmaking,” . Jim Jarmusch tweeted

Müller was called the "master of light" and compared with another famous Dutchman, the author of "Girl with a Pearl Earring" Jan Vermeer (English).
