Krasnoyarsk: Jehovist Stepnikov was arrested until September 2

The judge of the Railway District Court of Krasnoyarsk Marina Belova arrested Jehovist Andrei Stnikov for two months - until September 2. The hearings of July 4, the next day, was announced by the website of "Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia."

The 44-year-old Stepnikov Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code (organization of the activities of an extremist organization), which provides for from 6 to 10 years of the colony. The case is conducted by the regional head of the FSB. The petition for the arrest of the believer was stated by investigator S. Brigid; He was supported by the prosecutor T. Lazovskaya.

The hearings took 45 minutes. In the materials of the operational-search measures attached by the brigid to the petition, it was stated that Stepnikov, detained on the night of July 2 at the Emelyanovo Airport , intended to fly to Germany to participate in the International Congress of Jehovah's Witnesses. One of the arguments in favor of sending a believer to a pre -trial detention center Judge Belov in his decision called that Stepnikov, "knowing that criminal prosecution is being conducted against him", could hide in Germany and get political asylum there.

The security forces were in the dwellings, where there were 2-year-old children and 80-year-old old people. During some searches, visitors broke the doors. Tablets and mobile phones were removed. At the same time, the security forces released mocking comments at the address of the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses. The searches lasted until late at night.

At least three people were taken to interrogations to the FSB.
