In Krasnodar, the activist "Open Russia" was fined for membership in the organization

In Krasnodar, the peaceful judge Elena Zolotukhina fined a member of the Open Russia movement Jan Antonov for 15 thousand rubles. This was reported on Facebook by Sofia Rusova.

Antonov was found guilty of participating in the activities of an unwanted organization (Article 20.33 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). According to the judge, the Open Russia movement is recognized as undesirable. Rusova notes that the judge referred to the Ministry of Justice’s website with a list of undesirable organization, which features two British “open Russia”, which are not related to the Russian movement.

• On April 26, 2017, the General Prosecutor's Office of Russia recognized a number of organizations related to Mikhail Khodorkovsky as undesirable. The list included the Open Russia (Otkrytaya Rossia) and the public network movement "Open Russia Civic Movement, Open Russia)," Institute of Modern Russia "(InStite of Modern Russia, Inc), designed in the USA.
• The Russian movement "Open Russia" was not prohibited. Nevertheless, in December 2017, Roskomnadzor introduced the website of the open Russia media project in the register of prohibited. Access was closed to the sites Open Elections, Open University and KHODORKOVSKY.ru.
