Lawyer: The investigation is preventing familiarization with the case of the Crimean Tatar Ramazanov

In Simferopol, investigator Dmitry Kosyakin forbade Alexei Ladin, lawyer for the Agora International Human Rights Group, to photograph the case file of his client Ismail Ramazanov. Ladin wrote on Facebook that in this way the investigation denied him the right to get acquainted with the case materials.

Ramazanov is accused of disseminating information that incites hatred or enmity (Article 282 of the Criminal Code) using the Zello internet radio. to the charge In June, an article on illegal possession of cartridges was added (part 1 of article 222 of the Criminal Code).

The investigator, according to the lawyer, argued that the case materials could only be copied using a photocopier. In his refusal, Kosyakin referred to the Code of Criminal Procedure and did not pay attention to the positions of the Plenums of the Supreme and Constitutional Courts, which Ladin reminded him of.

The head of the investigation department, Mikhail Shichkin, supported Kosyakin. He fears that if the lawyer takes pictures, he will be able to secretly record the case file.

Ladin added that on July 3, the Simferopol District Court limited him and Ramazanov to the time they could get acquainted with the case materials until July 13.

He noted that he did not begin to get acquainted with the case materials, and the protocol for familiarizing his client was falsified. The document, according to Ladin, says that the lawyer by appointment got acquainted with the case in the pre-trial detention center from 16:55 to 20:00, and the investigator at the same time read aloud 485 sheets of the criminal case.
