Great Britain is in no hurry to impose new sanctions against the Russian Federation due to poisoning in Eimsbury

The authorities of Great Britain do not plan to impose new sanctions against Russia in connection with an incident with the poisoning of two people in the English city of Eimsbury (County Wiltshire). This was stated on Sunday, July 8, the country's Minister of Internal Affairs Sajid Javid.

“We do not want to hurry with conclusions. Our experts have previously determined that the neuro -paralytic substance involved in this case was the same as in March (in Salisbury),” the minister said during a visit to Eimsbury in order to reassure local residents (quote from The Guardian ).

In Aimsbury on June 30, two people - 44 -year -old British Don Srydes and her 45 -year -old satellite Charles Rowley - were exposed to unknown substance. Currently, they are both in critical condition.

According to the British authorities, the couple was poisoned as a result of interaction with the same substance "Novice", which in March of this year in Salisbury were poisoned by ex-colonel GRU Sergey Skripal and his daughter Julia.

Currently, the investigation of the incident in Emsbury is ongoing. It is expected that it will take a few more weeks or even months.

Now in the city around the clock, together with the Wiltshira police, about 100 specialists from the counter -terrorism unit are working. They are looking for signs of poison at five addresses: at Muggleton-Road, in the Boots pharmacy, the Baptist Church in Eimsbury, the John Baker House hostel and in the Queen Elizabeth Gardens park. Earlier, the authorities assured local residents that there was no danger of poisoning outside the cordoned areas.

In connection with the incident, the head of the British Ministry of Internal Affairs Sajid Javid previously stated that Russia should explain .

British Security Minister Ben Wallace called on the Russian authorities to give detailed information about the nerve agent "Novice" developed in the USSR.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia would not go to this until it is officially allowed to investigate Salisbury.

Recall that in Salisbury, located 10 km from Eimsbury, in March this year, 66-year-old former GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal, convicted in Russia for espionage in favor of the UK, and his 33-year-old daughter Julia were poisoned.
