The oldest resident of Europe died

The oldest woman in Europe, Giuseppina, died at the age of 116 and 37 days, Ansa reports.

Protetto was the second oldest person in the world after 117-year-old Japanese Tyo Miyako. Now this status belongs to Kane Tanaka, also a resident of Japan. The oldest in Europe was the Italian Maria-Juzeppa Robucci-Narjizo.

Earlier, the chief geriatrician of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Olga Tkacheva said that a person is able to live for about 120 years: “I am convinced that in the coming decades there will be new approaches to the extension of active life, we can find this moment. And our task is to make these ways to extend life widely accessible. ”
