Former British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has written an open letter to Prime Minister Theresa May, in which he spoke about the reasons for his resignation.
According to Johnson, he could no longer remain in government, realizing that his views on Brexit were not shared by the majority of the cabinet. He also expressed confidence that the UK is "definitely moving towards the status of a colony" of the European Union, as it assumes certain obligations, while not being able to influence the actions of the EU.
“Brexit was supposed to be an opportunity and a hope. It was a chance to do things differently, be more dynamic and maximize the benefits of the UK as an open global economy. This dream dies, strangled by its own doubts.
