In the Moscow region of Likino-Dulevo, participants in funeral processions are forced to drag coffins under freight cars to get to the cemetery. The only road to the churchyard passes through the railway tracks, where trains often stop for a long time, reports Notepad .

“Freight trains stop there all the time, and people, in order to bury relatives or visit the dead, have to wait for several hours or, indeed, drag a coffin under a train. I climbed many times myself,” local resident Irina Pankratova-Rasskazova told the Moscow Region Today portal.

Another option is to walk around a long train for a long time. The city's Public Chamber appealed to Russian Railways with a request to create a “window” in train traffic in the cemetery area. The Ministry of Railways has already responded to the complaints and apologized for the inconvenience caused.

“Eight freight trains run on this section of the railway per day. There have been isolated cases when freight trains occupy the crossing,” the company’s press service confirmed to the Moscow agency . Railway workers will change the movement of trains on the section so that freight trains go straight to the marshalling yard.
