In Torzhok on July 8, a magistrate arrested the Belarusian anarchist Artem Markin, who was detained at the Pryamukhin Readings conference, for three days. This was reported by the lawyer of OVD-Info and the Human Rights Center “Memorial” Konstanin Markin.
Artem Markin was found guilty of consuming narcotic substances (Part 1 of Article 6.9 of the Administrative Code). He refused a medical examination. The arrested person is being held at the Torzhok police department and is scheduled to be released on July 11 at 1:00 p.m.

After checking the documents of Belarusian citizen Artem Markin, the police detained him, saying that he was “not allowed to enter.” On the same day, Markin was interrogated by employees of the Center for Countering Extremism.
