An environmental activist was detained in the Moscow region

In the Moscow region, at the Selyatino station, the police detained Tatyana Pavlova, an eco-activist and deputy of the Council of Deputies of Selyatino of the third convocation. She herself wrote about this on Facebook.

Police officers explained the detention by the fact that Pavlova looked like a woman who had committed a robbery. The activist is taken to the police station.

UPD 12:25 Pavlova was on the train to meet with other environmental activists. This is reported by the portal Activatica. It is noted that in the trains of the Kyiv direction, the police check the documents of other passengers.

UPD 12:37 Pavlova refused to testify, citing Article 51 of the Constitution. Police officers are looking for witnesses. OVD-Info herself informed the activist about this.

UPD 13:02 Pavlova said that, according to the police, she looks like a woman who committed a theft, not a robbery. Before the arrest, the police officers asked the activist for her full name.

Earlier, journalist and environmental activist Denis Styazhkin was detained in Naro-Fominsk when he was getting off the train. According to the police, a crime occurred at the station, and the journalist received an orientation. The Activatica portal writes that in fact, an environmental action against the construction of a waste incineration plant was supposed to take place in Naro-Fominsk.

UPD 13:56 Tatyana Pavlova and Denis Styazhkin were released from the police departments.
