They are going to recover the cost of lost batons and walkie-talkies from those involved in the Bolotnaya case.

The transport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Central Federal District is going to recover from the defendants in the Bolotnaya case the cost of rubber batons and walkie-talkies lost during the riots on May 6, 2012. This was announced on Facebook by the leader of the Left Front and one of the former convicts in the Bolotnaya case, Sergei Udaltsov.

The politician wrote that, in addition to him, Leonid Razvozzhaev, Aleksey Gaskarov, Ilya Gushchin, Alexander Margolin and Elena Kokhtareva received summonses for July 11 to the judicial precinct No. 242 of the Nagatinsky Zaton district.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs estimated the value of the lost property - five rubber batons and two radio stations "Volna" - in the amount of 43,800 rubles.

UPD 11.07 Sergey Udaltsov, who attended the preliminary meeting, said on his Twitter that the UT of the Ministry of Internal Affairs filed a lawsuit in May 2018, after the statute of limitations for criminal cases had expired. “They are asking to restore the missed deadline, they allegedly received a copy of the verdict in court late,” writes Udaltsov.

The main meeting is scheduled for July 25 at 15:00.

In August 2014, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow found Aleksey Gaskarov, Alexander Margolin, Ilya Gushchin and Elena Kokhtareva guilty of participating in riots and using violence against the police on May 6, 2012 on Bolotnaya Square. Gaskarov and Margolin received three years and six months in prison, Gushchin - two years and six months. Pensioner Elena Kokhtareva, unlike Gaskarova, Margolin and Gushchin, who fully admitted her guilt, received three years and three months probation. On May 6, 2018, the statute of limitations for the case under the article on the use of violence against government officials in connection with the events that took place on Bolotnaya Square officially expired.
