1943 Peak of the Volyn Massacre

75 years ago, on July 11, 1943, detachments of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army simultaneously attacked from 99 to 150 Polish settlements in Volhynia, killing thousands of Poles. So, in the village of Kiselin, 90 people were killed, who had gathered for mass in the church, including the local priest. Part of the civilian population of Ukrainian villages took part in the destruction of the Poles.
