The collegium of the Primorsky Regional Court recovered from the local police department No. 4 50,000 rubles in legal costs and 3,000 rubles as compensation for non-pecuniary damage in favor of Anatoly Chepikov, who was detained at the rally on June 12, 2017. About this writes "Vl.ru".
The Ministry of Internal Affairs was going to appeal against the decision of the Leninsky District Court of Vladivostok - in March the court exacted 35 thousand rubles from the police, but the board sided with the detainee.
According to Anatoly Chepikov, on the day of the rally he walked past the station square with a fishing rod in his hands. Noticing a crowd of people, he decided to observe what was happening. Then the 59-year-old man was detained by OMON officers and taken to the department. There, protocols were drawn up against Chepikov on disobedience to the police (part 1 of article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and violation of the procedure for holding a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
“In the materials of the police it was indicated that Anatoly Vladimirovich was detained in the Makarov square, although the security forces ''taken'' at that time on the station square. That is, we proved in court that the materials of the case were fabricated,” Chepikov’s lawyer Maxim Chikhunov told the newspaper’s correspondent.
In court, the defense provided photographs and videos confirming that Chepikov was in a different place.
“One of the photographs helped, where Chepikov’s wristwatch got into the frame, you can clearly see the time of detention on them. This picture helped prove that there was no man on Makarov Square, which means that my client could not have committed any offense in this place, as stated in the police materials, ”says the lawyer.
According to VL.ru, earlier Anatoly Chepikov was fined 10,000 rubles for participating in the March 26 rally.
