Trump posts 'very nice' letter from Kim Jong Un

US President Donald Trump tweeted a letter from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, calling the message a "very sweet note."

In the letter, Kim called his meeting with Trump "the start of an important journey" and praised the "vigorous and extraordinary efforts" of the American president to improve relations between countries.

• The letter is dated July 6th. On this day, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was at the talks in North Korea . The next day, the North Korean Foreign Ministry declared the talks a failure and accused the Americans of "betraying the spirit" of the Trump-Kim summit in June.
