A court in Crimea extended the arrest of those involved in the “Vedzhie Kashka case”

The Kiev District Court of Simferopol extended the arrest of the defendants in the Vedzhie Kashka case. It is reported by "Crimea. Realities".

Asan Chapukh, Kazim Ametov, Bekir Degermenjii Ruslan Trubach will remain in the pre-trial detention center until September 15.

Lawyer Ayder Azamatov told the publication that the investigation asked for an extension of the arrest on the basis of the dual citizenship of the suspects, as well as the lack of time for the investigation. He also noted that examinations of the case have been underway for more than six months.

The defendants in the case have serious health problems. Chapukh suffered a minor stroke in the pre-trial detention center, and Degermendzhi suffered from chronic asthma.

All four are suspected of extorting money from a Turkish citizen.
