US President Donald Trump said that he could consider asking the Russian Federation to issue 12 alleged employees of Russian intelligence services to the Russian Federation who charged with hacker attacks, Interfax reports.

“I will probably consider it,” Trump said, answering on Sunday to the corresponding question of the CBS journalist. “I didn’t think about it. Of course, I will raise this question. However, it is worth noting that all this happened under the administration of Barack Obama. Everyone, did it, was under Obama,” the American leader emphasized during the interview. The TV channel recalls that there are no agreements on extradition between the United States and Russia.

During the interview, Trump also said that he was not waiting for the negative consequences from his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which will be held on July 16 in Helsinki.

"I think to hold meetings productively. I believe in the usefulness of meetings with Russia, China, North Korea. Nothing bad will come out of this, and maybe something good will come out," he said. Trump added nevertheless that he "has no big expectations" about the results of a meeting with Putin.

“I can’t say what will happen, but I can tell you what I will ask. We will see what will come of it,” Trump added. At the end of last week, the US authorities charged 12 alleged Russian intelligence officers.

The accusations were made as part of the investigation of the US Special Prosecutor Robert Muller for possible ties of the Trump team with Russia.

The suspects are accused of hacking the computer networks of the National Committee of the Democratic Party of the United States, the Congress of the US Democratic Party, the US presidential presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, as well as in the publication of electronic letters on the Internet.

For the first time, Putin and Trump held negotiations on July 7, 2017 on the fields of the Summit of the Group twenty in Hamburg. In November of the same year, at the APEC summit in Vietnam, a full -fledged bilateral meeting of leaders did not occur, but Putin and Trump talked on the sidelines of the forum and approved a joint statement on Syria.
