
The pregnant woman died after a lightning strike in a tree in the Rostov region, four more - two men and two women - were hospitalized, Interfax reports.
"The incident happened on Saturday in the city of Shakhty, where short -term but heavy rain was held," a source in the operational services of the region told the agency.
He said that at about 18 hours five people hid from bad weather under a tree on the city beach near the village of 20 years of the Red Army, which was then struck by lightning.
“As a result, a pregnant woman died on the spot, four more people were injured,” the source said.
“In the cardiological department of the hospital named after Lenin there are five people with injuries: two men, 23 and 26 years old. Three women: 27.41 and 30 years,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
According to him, another woman who suffered from a lightning strike, a woman born in 1992, died. There were no traces of violent death on her body, a check is carried out.
