The Russian authorities do not have compromising information on US President Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin said in an interview with Fox News.
“I do not want to offend President Trump and I do not want to seem impolite, but he was not interested in us until he announced his participation in the presidential election,” Putin said. “He was a rich man - well, in America there were many rich people. He was engaged in the construction business, organized beauty contests. But it could never have occurred to anyone that he would run into presidents.” Putin added that dozens of businessmen, more influential than Trump, but "unlike the United States", the Russian special services have no resources to follow them annually.
At the beginning of last year, Buzzfeed published an unbelied report on the "Russian compromise" on Trump. In it, among other things, it was stated that Trump took part in the Sex Vozerinka in the presidential room of the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Moscow in 2013, and also gave bribes through the companies affected by him during visits to St. Petersburg.
Putin once again stated that Russia did not interfere in the 2016 presidential election in the United States. The president called "committed ridiculous" the statement about the possibility of such an intervention from the territory of Russia.
In turn, Trump said in an interview with the television channel that he believes Putin’s words about the lack of compromising evidence of Moscow. “If they had something, they would have already done this a property of publicity,” the US President said.
On the eve of a press conference following negotiations in Helsinki, Putin admitted that he wanted Trump’s victory in 2016, as he "spoke about the normalization of Russian-American relations."
