The Supreme Court of Ingushetia upheld fines for participating in a rally for direct elections. About this writes "Kavkaz. Realities".
The Supreme Court upheld the fines for the head of the local branch of the International Party of Russia, Mikail Khuchiev, a member of the initiative group, Daud Garakoev, and Magomed Khamkhoev. Khamoev happened to be at the rally by accident, but he was photographed from the event.
“Today I asked them just one question - what is my fault? I asked the district police officer who was detaining me about this, I asked the judge in the Magassky district court. Now he asked the Supreme Court - what did I violate? The judge's answer surprised me. He said, “I don't consider the reasons why you were fined. The district court has ruled and I am considering whether to keep it or not.” And how can you make such a decision without delving into the essence of the matter?” Khuchiev told the publication.
In total, at least 12 participants received fines after the rally.
