In Tatarstan, Center “E” detained a defender of emergency workers on suspicion of inciting hatred

The man managed to tell her that a criminal case had been opened against him for inciting hatred or enmity (Article 282 of the Criminal Code), the woman said. According to fellow activist Marat Kurbanov, after the action the prosecutor “gave him a warning for allegedly extremist statements.” Maria clarified that a check on this fact has already been carried out.

The officers searched Sergei Andreev’s apartment, and Maria, according to her, was asked to leave. She added that a search had already been carried out several months ago and nothing had been found. The woman believes that the reason for the detention may also be that Andreev “is fighting with the authorities because of the problems of emergency workers who want to be evicted from their homes.”
