Lawyer: Sentsov looks worse, they wanted to hospitalize him

The lawyer of the Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov Dmitry Dinze today visited his client in the colony of the city of Labytnangi. According to him, the condition of the convict has worsened since the last visit of the defender.

“He looks even worse than the last time. Very pale,” the lawyer told about Sentsov’s health, specifying that the director “walks himself”.

According to Dinze, two weeks ago Sentsov had the second "health crisis." The director became ill and wanted to hospitalize him in order to begin a full forced feeding and pour more the mixture.

Oleg Sentsov refused, and he was left in the colony on the condition that he would take the mixture himself under the supervision of a doctor, Dinze said. According to him, Sentsov is contained in the ward and is not going to leave the hunger strike. He says: "How much is enough for me, I will stretch it so much."

In addition, Sentsov expressed perplexity why the active campaign of support for Ukrainian political prisoners from Ukraine and the authorized Verkhovna Rada Lyudmila Denisova ended.

"Sentsov believes that the Ukrainian side should actually push the situation with the release of the rest of the political prisoners," said Dmitry Dinze.

On May 14, Oleg Sentsov, sentenced in Russia by 20 years on charges of terrorism, announced an indefinite hunger strike in the colony, demanding the liberation of the Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia. Assistance continues around the world in support of the convicted Ukrainian director.
