FSIN: there have been no health complaints from Panov, a person involved in the “Crimean saboteurs” case

The Federal Penitentiary Service stated that Yevgeny Panov, the defendant in the Crimean saboteurs case, had no complaints about his health. It is reported by "Crimea. Realii" with reference to the press service of the department.

The Federal Penitentiary Service cites data according to which Panov was examined on July 19 by employees of the medical unit, including a dentist.

“In a number of media, information is being disseminated that Yevgeny Panov, who is being held in pre-trial detention center No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, has problems with his teeth and gums, and he is not provided with medical assistance in the pre-trial detention center. We inform you that this information is not true, ”the press service of the department quotes the publication.

Earlier, Vera Kotelyanets, Panov's mother, said that her son had serious problems with his teeth and gums, and also said that it was difficult to transfer medicines in the pre-trial detention center.

• Yevgeny Panov is accused of preparing for sabotage, attempting to smuggle ammunition, and illegal storage and transportation of ammunition. According to investigators, he and another person involved in the case, Andrei Zakhtey, were going to transport a group in cars that planned to blow up a large number of military and civilian facilities in Crimea in the summer of 2016.
• Panov pleaded not guilty. He claims to have been severely tortured. Edition "Crimea. Realii writes that on July 13, the Supreme Court of Crimea sentenced him to eight years in a strict regime colony.
• Zakhtey also spoke about torture. He is accused of preparing for sabotage, attempting to smuggle ammunition, illegal storage and transportation of explosives, as well as illegal acquisition and use of a false passport. Zakhtey pleaded guilty and entered into an agreement with the investigation to pass a sentence without analyzing the evidence. In February, he was sentenced to six years and six months in a strict regime colony and a fine of 220,000 rubles.
• Yevgeny Panov and Andrey Zakhtey are included in the "Sentsov List" - a list of political prisoners whose release the convicted director demands. OVD-Info collected known information about 88 people associated with Ukraine and persecuted by the Russian authorities. Among these people there are both those deprived of liberty and those sentenced to suspended sentences, which means that they have limited movement.
