Interfax: another defendant has appeared in the case of transferring secret data on hypersonic weapons

In the case of treason in the head scientific organization Roskosmos, connected with the transfer of data on hypersonic weapons to the West, another suspect has appeared. It is reported by TASS with reference to a source. Information about the appearance of the second defendant in the case was also told by an Interfax source.

“There are two suspects in the criminal case on treason. According to the investigation, the defendants passed on information to one of the Western countries,” the source said, adding that the second defendant had been arrested.

The arrest of the first suspect, 74-year-old TsNIIMash employee Viktor Kudryavtsev, became known on July 22 after Evgeny Enikeev, a member of the Public Monitoring Commission (POC), discovered the scientist in the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center. According to Kommersant , Kudryavtsev was accused of high treason for passing secret data to a NATO country. Kudryavtsev himself does not admit guilt.

Roskosmos reported that the case of treason is connected with the events of 2013.
