According to Sport-Express, the director of the Arena Andrei Mokhonko refused to comment on the state of the arena. According to the press service of the Omsk Club, repair work was carried out in the off-season on the site, during which cracks were discovered.

“In the process of these works, we were faced with unforeseen difficulties, after which the necessary additional examinations were urgently launched,” President Maxim Syushinsky said .

Before the start of the new season of the Continental Hockey League (KHL), less than a month remains, and the future of the Omsk Arena remains in question. Most likely, the Vanguard will have to temporarily move to the reserve arena until the foundation is repaired. “We will report how the situation is developing,” the president of the hockey club promised.

The Arena Omsk hockey platform with a capacity of 10,000 spectators opened in 2007. The construction of the Sports Palace was financed by Siberian House LLC, controlled by the businessman Roman Abramovich.
