Five colony officers were arrested in Yaroslavl who beat the prisoner Evgeny Makarov

The colony officers who were present on the video from the registrar were detained on July 23, but the investigation only today managed to prepare documents for the application to choose a preventive measure. Among the arrested: senior inspector of the security department Maxim Yablokov, junior inspector of the security department Sergey Drachev, head of the operational department Sergey Efremov, deputy duty officer Igor Bogdanov, junior inspector of the security department Alexei Brovkin.

The deputy chief of IK-1 for the educational part, Ivan Kalashnikov, extended the detention period for 72 hours until July 28, the court considered the evidence presented against him unconvincing for the arrest. The meeting in his case was held closed, the journalists did not get there.

From nine in the morning, journalists began to flock to the court. The court building, by the way, is located only 20 kilometers from the colony itself, where Evgeny Makarov was tortured. A brick five -story building, shabby, with a peeling blue paint, an entrance. On the first floors - the department of the Pension Fund, the fourth and the fifth is occupied by the court.

The flow of journalists is regulated by the press secretary of the regional court Natalia Leonidovna Sarbunova, a short woman aged. She fusses:

- Comrades are expensive, you are not so many, distribute, run three people each. Tolerate: you need to record everyone, you need to go around everyone, because the bailiffs are also human people.

We, journalists, were really not very many. Mostly correspondents of the Yaroslavl media, the correspondent of Mediazones. Laughing and sparkling everyone with a tripod, the crew of Russia 24 made his way to the entrance.

No one understands how the process would be organized: on this day, the preventive measure should have been elected to all six detainees in a criminal case. Several meetings took place in parallel, then, thanks to Natalia Leonidovna, things began to listen to each other so that the journalists would not miss a single accused.

“Here stand up so that they do not rush at him by accident,” she asked the bailiff when they led the first accused.

- What are you! -exclaimed someone from the press.

“Yes, I understand everything,” she smiled slyly.

The fact that he will arrest his tormentors today, Evgeny Makarov was notified by official paper from the court. But he categorically refused to participate in court. But Ruslan Vakhapov came to the court, who also served in IK-1 three years (supposedly for depraved actions in relation to minors: he left the car to the side of the road to cope with a small need, but he was seen by the girls passing by).

I asked Vakhapov, who knows Makarov well, why he made such a decision.

- For him this is an injury. These people killed him. And I arrived because I want to look into the eyes of these bastards.

The investigation claims: the defendants in the criminal case "inflicted multiple strokes with unidentified objects, as well as Makarov's arms and legs, which caused him physical pain."

The arrested in the criminal case of torture in the colony are very similar that their biographies were written off from each other. All of them were born and grew up in the Yaroslavl region, two - from Uglich. All five are married (someone in a civil marriage), everyone except Brovkin is raising children.

All of them are young: accused from 24 to 31 years old. Two of them mentioned that their families without their participation could not pay a mortgage for the apartment. Igor Bogdanov even specified the amount - he must pay 14216 rubles every month until 2047.

Relatives of any of the accused, except for Alexei Brovkin, did not come to the meeting. In the video, he beats Makarov with special zeal on the heels.

And some other heroes of the video in court were not difficult to find out. The video clearly visible the face of a young man in a uniform shirt, actively working with his hands and club. This is Maxim Yablokov. In court, he looked informally, in a black T -shirt with a painted free potato on his chest.

At the meeting, it turned out: Yablokov was already involved in the article for theft, but the criminal case was closed in 2008. Then he successfully got a job at the FSIN.

The accusation is based on the testimony of Yablokov, who, after detention, designed a confession. His testimonies (they are read out by the investigator in the court) say: “I voluntarily wish to report a crime. I repent in the deed, I want to give detailed explanations about what happened. <...> Makarov resisted, tried to get up, he was hurt from our blows. The blows were struck: I and ... ” - then Yablokov lists the names of his colleagues. Sergey Drachev arrested today in the video appears for a short while - just passes by, but Maxim Yablokov mentioned him.

The defendants of the video published by the New Gazeta, according to the investigator, also helped to identify the acting chief of IK-1 Vladimir Moscow.

The investigation reported that there are other evidence of the fault of the FSIN workers, but, according to the chosen tactics, it was decided not to publish them yet.

He also pleaded guilty and signed a confession of the accused Efremov. He even went further than Yablokov: he asked for cooperation with the investigation and suggested telling in detail what was happening on the video - and that the video did not fall.

Two other accused - Bogdanov and Brovkin - refused to testify. Bogdanov said in court: “I don’t recognize myself in the video, for me this news is new.”

None of the suspects expressed his attitude to criminal charges. Lawyers said for them: they asked to attach recommendations, letters of thanks, awards ...

For example, it turned out that Bogdanov is a veteran of hostilities, “participated in 2008 in the elimination of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict”, has a donor book.

About Brovka, the lawyer said: the service is characterized positively, is working on increasing theoretical knowledge and improving practical skills. He even asked to introduce the characteristic of the neighbors: "Polite and neat."

The arrests continued from morning until four in the afternoon with a break for lunch. The judge read the last decision barely audible, swallowing words.

While the FSINITS was arrested in Yaroslavl, in Geneva, at the hearing of the Russian report in the UN committee against torture, the Russian delegation was interrogated about torture in IK-1.

The Committee asked the delegation to comment on the article in Novye, and also asked about the security issues of lawyer Irina Biryukova.

Recall that in the video published in Novaya Gazeta, eighteen employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service were present in the class of educational work during the beating of the detainee.
