Top manager of TVEL crashed on a hang glider in the Angara region
Vadim Kalk, chief engineer of the Angarsk electrolysis chemical plant, crashed on a hang glider near Lake Baikal. The enterprise is part of the TVEL fuel company.
Vadim Kalk was flying on a hang glider from Sobolinoye Lake towards Lake Baikal. He disappeared and did not get in touch, the company said.
The body of the chief engineer was found near the Snezhnaya River on July 27. He has been doing hang gliding for many years.
Vadim Kalk was born in 1965 in Angarsk. Graduated from the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Technology of Rare and Trace Elements with a qualification of an engineer-technologist. Worked at AECC since 1988, headed the enterprise in 2011-2017. In the TVEL Corporation, he was the director of the department, senior vice president for production. In 2017, he returned to AECC as a chief engineer.
