The court fined environmental activists who did not allow garbage trucks to enter the landfill in Nepeino

The Dmitrov City Court fined six activists who blocked the passage of garbage trucks to the landfill in Nepeino. Human rights activist Nikita Vyshkvarka reported this to OVD-Info.

Judge Tatyana Naplekova imposed a fine of 10 thousand rubles on Anton Guskov, and 15 thousand rubles on Nikolai Korshunov, Raisa Belina, Nikolai Belin, Svetlana Tokareva and Sergei Barov. They were found guilty under Part 6.1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences—participation in an action that resulted in interference with the functioning of life support facilities, transport or social infrastructure.

As Vyshkvarka said, the “Fortress” service plan was announced in court, and no one was allowed into the open hearing.

• On July 28, 6 people were detained near a landfill in the village of Nepeino, Dmitrovsky district. Activists tried to stop cars with garbage because they did not have documents. They were kept for two days at the local police station until the start of the trial on July 30.
