Shrams of deportation
Four Lithuanians went on a long and difficult journey to the coast of the Laptev Sea. There, on the island of Tit-Ara in the Lena delta, at the abandoned settlement of former exiles, the remains of those who were deported to the ends of the world from the Baltic states during the Stalinist repression were buried.
The children of those who were born in the northern link and spent many years thousands of kilometers from the historical homeland, they can do little: put metal crosses over the graves instead of the decayed wooden. But this is a lot.
In 1940-1941 and in 1945-1952, more than 130 thousand residents of Lithuania were deported to Siberia without the right to return.
