Nine "Switches of IG" were detained in Kaliningrad

In Kaliningrad, the FSB detained nine "recruiters of the Islamic State". This is reported by the "New Kaliningrad" with reference to the regional head of the special services.

The detainees were claimed to be a “conspiracy cell”, which “carried out the ideological processing of the inhabitants of the region, distributed forbidden literature among their supporters, and inclined them to terrorist crimes.” As a result, the FSB says, two Russians went to Syria to fight on the side of the IG.

During searches in the dwellings of the detainees, he assures the special services, seized eight units of firearms and traumatic weapons, one F-1 grenade and unified fuse to it, 168 cartridges, as well as laptops, mobile phones, bank cards and books on religion.

At the same time, things have so far been initiated only against four detainees. Open one thing is opened by part 4 of Article 33 - Part 2 of Article 205.5 (declension to participate in the activities of a terrorist organization; from 10 to 20 years of colony), one under Part 1 of Article 205.1 (assistance to terrorism; from 5 to 15 years), two under Article 205.6 (failure to organize the activities of a terrorist organization; up to 1 year) and two under part 2 of article 222 of the Criminal Code (illegal turnover of weapons by group of persons according preliminary conspiracy;

With regard to the other five detainees, only a pre -investigation check is carried out.

On March 6, Klops reported that a certain citizen announced by a member of the Jamaat at-Tauhid Val-Dzhikhad was detained at the Kaliningrad airport in the Kaliningrad airport. This group, which, claimed, is part of the IG, committed a terrorist attack in the St. Petersburg metro last year. In fact, "Jamaat at-Tauhid Val-Jihad" ceased to exist back in 2004, and the defendants in the case of the St. Petersburg terrorist attack were membership in "Katiba At-Tauhid Val-Dzhikhad" , and this organization is actually not affiliated with the IG.

On May 23, it became known about the detention of eight visitors from Central Asia in Kaliningrad, who was charged with membership in the same "Jamaat AT-Tauhid Val-Dzhikhad" and recruitment in the IG.
