A report was drawn up against the organizer of a rally in Sarapul because of the phrase “Putin is a thief”

Ruslan Timurshin, the organizer of the action against raising the retirement age in Sarapul, was penalized for not stopping shouting “Putin is a thief” during the action. He told OVD-Info about this.

Timurshin was charged with a violation by the organizer of the procedure for holding the rally (part 1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). As stated in the protocol, the activist “permitted a violation of public order, expressed in the rejection of measures of public order and the termination of violations of the law by participants in a public event who violated public order by public statements-slander against the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin: “Putin is a thief.”

• The police took explanations from the organizer of the action and several activists after the rally. Employees asked who shouted out the phrase "Putin is a thief."
