The court sent the Khachaturian sisters, accused of murdering their father, into arrest

The Ostankino Court of Moscow placed under arrest until September 28 the sisters Maria, Angelina and Krestina Khachaturyan, accused of murdering their father.

The hearings were held behind closed doors due to the presence in the case file of information that “humiliates the honor and dignity of the accused,” the court said.

• The Khachaturian sisters, aged 17, 18 and 19, were detained on July 27 after the murder of their father, 57-year-old Mikhail Khachaturian. The girls confessed, talking about the systematic violence on his part. One of the sisters told human rights activists that the father sexually abused two of his daughters.
