Kemerovo blogger Stanislav Kalinichenko, who in 2016 announced that he had been beaten by police officers, left the pre-trial detention center. Ksenia Pakhomova, coordinator of Alexei Navalny's headquarters in Kemerovo, wrote about this on her Twitter.

She also said that the criminal case under Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code (use of violence against a representative of the authorities), initiated against Kalinichenko due to "inflicting pain" on a police officer, was stopped.

The blogger was accused of hitting a police officer during his arrest in 2016, and he “felt pain in his forehead.” Then Kalinichenko was detained and demanded to sign a protocol on "drinking alcohol" - he refused, after which the police used force against him.
On April 6, the court sent Kalinichenko to a pre-trial detention center. The judge decided that the blogger, who had previously been under house arrest, was evading participation in the process.
At the end of April, Kalinichenko submitted a complaint about the conditions of detention in SIZO No. 1: in it, he said that he had been transferred to a damp and cold basement. There is no toilet paper in the cell, no hot water.
In his complaint, the blogger also drew attention to the fact that the prisoners do not receive medical care: he said that the SIZO staff do not pay attention to the requests of his cellmate, who fainted several times.
In June, Kalinichenko went on a hunger strike. His brother told Mediazona that before that, the blogger was sent to a punishment cell for 15 days and beaten with a stun gun.
