About 30 LGBT activists were detained on Palace Square

The activists were taken to police departments No. 78 and No. 29. According to OVD -Info, at least one activist was released without a protocol being drawn up.

The action was called "St. Petersburg Pride" and was not approved by the city authorities. According to the organizers, they unsuccessfully offered the administration of St. Petersburg nine options for holding the action, and unsuccessfully tried to appeal the refusal in court. As a result, they decided to hold single pickets, as they do not require approval.
