Stavropol: the arrest of activist Savostin was extended until September 6

The arrest of a polyteactivist from mineral waters Mikhail Savostin, against whom the case of drugs is being filled, was extended for another month - until September 6. It is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".

When and where the hearings were held, the publication does not specify. As can be concluded from the publication, the petition of the police investigator was considered on Monday at the Mineralovodsk City Court.

The lawyer of the political prisoner Vitaly Zubenko accused the investigator of Delo, noting that over the past month, the official "did nothing." “I think this is due to the uncertainty of the investigation that the evidence has been collected enough to go in court, from the point of view of the prosecution, impeccably,” the defender suggested.

Zubenko also noted that the investigator refused to conduct two examinations that could refute the bar of the prosecution.

The lawyer described the state of health of the Political Eastern as "bad." It is known that Savostin has problems with the kidneys, light and heart. Nevertheless, it is not sent for a medical examination.

The colleagues of the opposition activist formed the support committee of Mikhail Savostin. The head of the Committee’s working group Andrei Kursesh came to the court to act as a guarantor for his comrade and thereby get his release from the pre -trial detention center. However, the judge did not interrogate either the healing or other colleagues.

The 40 -year -old Savostin is the leader of the public organization "People's Vechery Water", the chairman of the Stavropol Regional Department of the Independent Union "Solidarity", a member of the political council of the Assembly of the peoples of the Caucasus. The opposition was detained on April 5 , when, together with a friend, he went to the next Forum of Free Russia, which was held in Vilnius on the 11-13th day. In the village of Krasny Pakhar, a suburbs of Minvod, the road to the car of Savostin blocked the minibus, from which the security forces ran out in masks. The activist’s comrade was laid down on the asphalt face down, and Savostin himself was brought by force on the minibus, where they tied his hands behind his back with wire, after which, as the lawyer Zubenko said, "carried out some manipulations in the area of ​​his pockets."

Further, the activist with tied hands was brought out, and under the wheel of a minibus, he saw a large bag of marijuana (he, as the security forces claim, and threw it out of his pocket). The police removed another bag from the back pocket of Savostin's trousers.

April 7, the activist was arrested. It is contained in pre-trial detention center-2 in Pyatigorsk. Initially, it was reported that Savostin was imputed part 3 of article 228 of the Criminal Code (drug trafficking on an especially large scale), which provides for 10 to 15 years of the colony. Of the later publications, however, it followed that in the future the prosecution was softened to part 2 of the same article (large, not particularly large size), the sanction of which is from 3 to 10 years.

On June 27,Savostin announced a dry hunger strike demanding to stop illegal persecution. However, on the 30th, Politzek completed the action. The Savostin support committee explained that the hunger strike was warning.
