In Voronezh, social activist Alexander Boldyrev was penalized for participating in a picket that took place on July 24 in the local Hyde Park. This was reported to OVD-Info by Vladislav Khodakovsky.
Boldyrev was charged with violating the procedure for holding the action (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). As stated in the protocol, the activist violated presidential decree No. 202, as well as the order of the head of Voronezh No. 407-r, which restricted public events during the World Cup.
In an explanation attached to the minutes, Boldyrev explains that Voronezh is not mentioned in the presidential decree, and the restrictions imposed do not apply to Hyde Parks.
