The worst city of Russia is the Borzya from the Trans -Baikal Territory. This is stated in the ranking of large and small Russian cities, which was prepared with the support of the Ministry of Construction of Russia.

In the preparation of the rating, experts evaluated 1086 cities of Russia and sorted each in the quality index of the urban environment. The worst city was the Transbaikal Borzia, which was awarded only 1 out of 10 possible categories “housing”, “street infrastructure”, “landscaping and water space”, “socio-leisure infrastructure”, “socio-business infrastructure” and “citywide space”. At the same time, Russian cities compared each other in separate groups formed according to climatic conditions and population. Experts used the data of federal statistics services, satellites, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and a photo from social networks.

Borias received only 89 points out of 300 possible. The Trans-Baikal city lost a little Tommot from Yakutia and Ust-Kuta from the Angara. Such Trans-Baikal cities as Petrovsk-Zabaykalsky, Balay and Hilok also fell into the TOP-10 of the worst cities of Russia.

At the same time, the capital of the region, Chita, became the penultimate in the list of 65 large cities, receiving 125 points out of 300 possible.

In July, the speaker of the Russian Federation of Russia Valentina Matvienko called the Trans -Baikal Territory a “outback”, unlike neighboring China. During a visit to the region, Matvienko also criticized the capital of the region - Chita, calling the city "neglected and groomed." According to Matvienko, it is impossible to walk around Chita - "bad roads", "lawns did not squint", the borders "generally disappear."
