Experts suggest that the reproduction of pests contributes to the anthropogenic load. And they associate the appearance on the island of a bug-assach with the importation of building materials on Olkhon. "If you do not take measures, then insects will spread through the forests of the Baikal National Park. At the same time, the use of ground treatment with biological products or chemicals in the central ecological zone of Baikal is strictly prohibited," ecologists recall.

The coordinator of the regional group of public monitoring ONF on the problems of ecology and forest protection in the Irkutsk region, Sergei Apanovich, said that the Olkhonsky district requires cleaning of dried and drying trees, as well as aircraft treatment with pesticides.
