According to TASS , the animated program of the festival will open the new film by Harry Bardin "Bolero 17".
The competition programs of the Festival “Window to Europe” are participated in Russian gaming, documentary and animated films selected from almost three hundred applications. Four main contests - game, documentary and animated cinema and “Coproduction. Window to the world ” - individual jury will be judged: the game, led by director Sergei Snezhkin, documentary - with Evgeny Grigoryev, and animated - with Harry Bardin, co -products with Harutyun Khachatryan.
The winners of the Vyborsky Account contest, which includes all competitive paintings, as well as films marked by the awards of other festivals of Russian cinema from the beginning of the year, will be determined by the results of the vote of all participants and spectators of the festival.
Also, the “Window to Europe” will present several out-of-competition programs, including “Gala Primeriers”, “Vyborg Premiere”, “Cinema for Children and Youth”, a program of student work, dedicated to the centenary of VGIK.
At the Vyborg festival this year, the centenary of the Lenfilm film studio, the 50th anniversary of the film “Glass Harmonic” Andrei Khrzhanovsky according to the script of Gennady Shpalikov, the memory of Oleg Tabakov and Kira Muratova will be devoted to the films “Among the Gray Stones” and “Three Stories”, the anniversaries of Elem Klimov and Alexei Petrenko-the film "Agony."
In addition, in the schedule of the festival, the master classes of Viktor Erofeev, Andrei Khrzhanovsky, Armen Medvedev and Kirill Klepalov.
At the closure of the festival in the Vyborg Castle, the film by Serik Andreasyan “Sponge” will be shown.
The Film Festival "Window to Europe" has been held in Vyborg annually since 1993. Its founders are the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Leningrad Region and the Russian-European Film Association ( Reca ). Among the main tasks of the festival is the popularization of national cinema and the promotion of new Russian films.
