The Center "E" officers conducted a search in the office of the Moscow Jewish Religious Community as part of an investigation into the leader of the Zionist organization "Shahar" Alexander Kargin.
According to lawyer Igor Zuber, the Interior Ministry employees reported finding nationalist literature in the office, which, according to him, was “clearly planted.” Kargin noted that some of the books are “anti-Semitic in nature.” “Books like ‘The Catechism of an Orthodox Person’ and ‘The Final Solution to the Jewish Question’ were allegedly kept by ME! By a Jewish activist!” he wrote on his VKontakte page.
The investigation was launched based on a statement from unnamed people and is being conducted, as follows from Zuber's words, under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Incitement of hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity"). Kargin was summoned to the police to give an explanation.
