The court arrested civil activists detained in the administration of Kislovodsk

The Kislovodsk city court of the Stavropol Territory on August 10 arrested more than ten civil activists who had previously been detained in the city administration. This was reported to OVD-Info by Elena Pavlova, a representative of the Stavropol public organization "Housing".

According to Pavlova, the judge ordered arrests under articles 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the demand of police officers) and 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for holding a public event). According to the interlocutor of OVD-Info, civil activists received from 7 to 15 days of arrest.

The court decisions were also written in the comments under the post of the PRAVSoyuz KAVKAZ group on VKontakte.

Pavlova was able to name only two of those arrested - Davud Adakhov and Maxim Shipilov - heads of regional branches of the PRAVsoyuz Kavkaz trade union. Both were sentenced to 15 days of arrest under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

According to the civil activist, the detainees were brought to the court without protocols, which did not prevent the judge from making a decision. Pavlova also claims that the police did not let anyone into the meetings.

The woman added that on August 11, the Kislovodsk city court would continue to consider the cases of the detainees.

• On August 9, about 60 people within the “Public Control” group came to the city administration, having made an appointment in advance. Pavlova explained that the “Public Control” group was created by the “PRAVsoyuz Kavkaz”: its members “went around the municipalities, demanding to eliminate shortcomings, including in title documents.”
• The guards did not allow citizens to receive, and the police began to use force against them and detain them , says Pavlova. In the building, the activist says, there were people with disabilities and women with children, some of them were also detained.
• All the detainees were taken to the duty station of Kislovodsk, some were later taken to the police department in Essentuki. They were left overnight until the trial. The detainees, according to Pavlova, were not given food and drink all this time. One activist was hospitalized with oxygen starvation and hunger fainting.
