
The German authorities decided to cancel the ban on demonstrating the swastika in video games.
Although the ban on extremist symbolism in the country is preserved, the German organization USK, which imposes restrictions on age -related software, allowed to apply the same requirements to the video for the films. That is, from now on, any video game can be allowed to sell if the use of forbidden symbols is thematically justified and dramatically justified.
As the Russian BBC service recalls, the ban on Nazi symbols was introduced in Germany in the 90s. Then the symbolism of groups and organizations, whose activity was recognized as anti -constitutional, was legally prohibited. Since then, all computer games on the World War II have been released in Germany in a modified version - without swastikas.
So, the Wolfenstein II shooter: The New Colossus about the alternative history, in which Nazi Germany won in the Second World War in the German market in the brief version - all the swastikas were replaced with harmless symbols, and Adolf Hitler was not without a mustache and called it not a Fuhrer, but a chancellor.

In the next part of the game Wolfenstein Youngblood, which was released in June 2018, all the swastikas have already been replaced with other symbols. And it is not known whether the game developers will now return the original version to the German market.
The developers of South Park: The Stick of Truth based on the animated series "South Park" were also forced to close the swastikas in scenes with zzubi Nazi rude black squares.
