The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia sent to court a criminal case on the embezzlement of more than 1.7 billion rubles by the management of companies selling drinking water of the Arkhyz brand, reports . Interfax
The Prosecutor General's Office told the agency that an indictment against the leaders of the group of companies was approved in the case. “They are accused of fraud in the field of lending on an especially large scale,” Interfax reports, citing a statement from the department.
According to the investigation, “in 2012-2014, the owner and general director of CJSC Visma (manufacturer of Arkhyz - ed. ), together with the executive directors of this enterprise and other persons, received loans from the bank on forged documents. The total amount of loans received by controlled organizations amounted to more than 1.7 billion rubles.” The Prosecutor General's Office noted that after that the funds were stolen.
During the investigation, the general director of the company was placed under house arrest. His accomplices are under house arrest. For consideration on the merits, the case will be sent to the Industrial District Court of Stavropol.
Earlier, in the case of embezzlement in Moscow, was arrested the director general of the NPO named after Lavochkin Sergey Lemeshevsky . He and NGO employee Ekaterina Averyanova are accused of large-scale fraud (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) in the case of embezzlement of 330 million rubles from the state corporation Roskosmos.
