US President Donald Trump signed a military budget for 2019, according to the White House website. Pentagon will allocate $ 716 billion for the needs of the Pentagon - this is the largest military budget in American history.

The budget provides for an increase in the number of military personnel in the American army by 15,600 people.

A significant part of the funds is allocated for the development of weapons: the development of a new ballistic missile with a low-power charge will be financed, the Pentagon will purchase 77 new fifth-generation fighters F-35, $ ​​24.1 billion for the construction of new warships and to accelerate work on some already under construction ships.

6.3 billion dollars will go to finance the European defense initiative, including the coverage of expenses associated with the increase in the number of the American military contingent in Europe. $ 250 million is aimed at the supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine.

The budget included a clause on the suspension of Russian-American cooperation as part of an open sky agreement. The contract allows each of its participants to conduct reconnaissance flights over the territories of other countries - now Russian military aircraft will not be able to legally conduct reconnaissance over the United States.

The defense law gives Trump the right to cancel sanctions for servicing previously acquired by other countries of Russian military equipment. The right to cancel the restrictions does not apply to the purchase of new weapons and other military equipment from Moscow. American sanctions can affect Turkey: Ankara is in the process of buying S-400 air defense systems from Moscow.

The law provides for the introduction of a number of restrictions against China, as well as the strengthening of military partnership with other countries of the Asian region - in particular, with unrecognized Taiwan. The American state departments and companies receiving orders from them are prohibited from cooperating with Chinese telecommunication companies ZTE and Huawei, associated with the Communist Party of China and the country's intelligence.
