Accused in the "Penza case" Viktor Filinkov, who was previously reported missing, is in SIZO-1 in Nizhny Novgorod. This was written by his lawyer Vitaly Cherkasov on his Facebook page.
In July, it became known that Filinkov, as well as other defendants in the case, Yuliy Boyarshinov and Igor Shishkin, were escorted from St. Petersburg to SIZO-1 in Yaroslavl. After visiting Filinkov as a lawyer, he was again taken away in an unknown direction, “as it turned out, to Nizhny Novgorod.”
Cherkasov noted that Filinkov "does not admit guilt, courageously resists threats of reprisals and does not make a deal with the investigation."
Recall that eleven people were arrested in the "Penza case" in St. Petersburg and Penza. According to investigators, they participated in the terrorist group "Network", which allegedly prepared an armed uprising and explosions during the presidential elections and the World Cup. The defendants in the case said that they were tortured with electric current, demanding to confess.
